About she who saw

she who saw is the work of designer and interior stylist Sandra Baumer.

With Swiss roots and a childhood in northern Germany, Sandra grew up surrounded by simplicity. From an early age she learned to live with fewer but more meaningful objects, a way of seeing that continues to shape her work today. Structure and clarity define her design language, balanced by a deep appreciation for nature, the outdoors, and the unexpected moments that inspire creativity.

Sandra studied communication design at the University of the Arts Bremen, worked at MetaDesign in Berlin, and taught design at BHT Berlin before shifting her focus toward objects, interiors, and the spaces in between. For nearly two decades she has co-led a successful retail business in Berlin-Mitte, representing international design labels such as HAY and developing five stores and exhibitions through careful planning, design and reimagining.

With she who saw, Sandra opens a new chapter. The project unites her background in design with her passion for interiors: clear spaces, carefully selected objects, and the stories revealed in their dialogue. The collections are intentionally composed yet never fixed, always evolving, like life itself.

Beyond the shop, Sandra offers interior design and styling services for private homes, public spaces, and events. In the accompanying journal, she shares the inspirations that guide her work, from designers and materials to the intimate connections between objects and everyday rituals.

she who saw is not just a shop, but an ongoing exploration of order and openness, clarity and emotion. It is a place for those who recognize beauty in detail and embrace the extraordinary within the simple.
